We absolutely love gadgets at gadgetbiz.info, as you should now know! But, what when something goes wrong with your gadget? What to do? For the most part, gadgets, especially the smaller ones, do not come with support, maybe just simply an instruction manual. But, for the larger purchases, you are going to need full support - maybe even telephone support?
As we review a large amount of gadgets on this site, we do, from time to time need to get on the phone and speak to the help desk. I must say, I am extremely surprised at the level of knowledge the support operators possess these days compared to a few years ago. Admittedly, this is primarily down to help desk outsourcing, to highly trained individuals that are trained in supporting a particular product or service. The help desk services offered, particularly by the technology companies (in my experience anyway) have been second to none. All of the help desk operators I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with have answered my query within minutes in an extremely professional manner.
Overall, I think help desk outsourcing is an extremely positive thing, regardless of where the company is located. If they’re skilled in the product or service and encounter issues all day every day, they’re going to know about your issue and more importantly, know how to resolve it.
