Upgrading Your Mobile Contract

General

If you’re looking to upgrade your mobile phone contract, for the most part, it’ll be to acquire a new handset or more onto a tariff that is lower in monthly cost. Most people take out contracts with lots of inclusive minutes and realise that they never come close to using them all up. I know I personally used to call and text people for no reason whatsoever, only to use up my minutes. It is a well known fact that most people downgrade their contract after the first year and only really perform an upgrade to get a better handset. You can however upgrade to a better handset throughout your first year of contract, but you will more then likely end up getting another 6 or 12 months bolted onto your existing contract. This is the way it works on most mobile phone contracts. There are however mobile phone deals out there which allow you to change your handset each year with no extra cost or contract extension. So if you like having the latest technology, this might be a better option for you. The same goes for most contracts, including mobile broadband. You’re always going to be tied in to 12 months.
